Day Three - Group Dating 101

Hello all. Welcome to The Bachelor: Seaside. In this episode we finish Day Two from Noon, until Noon on Day Three, when one more single will have to move out of the mansion.

Today, we join the singles as three of them get their first group date in the hot tub with Alexander, while the other three get to have a group date in the other hot tub. Alexander will then do a 1-on-1 date with each of the remaining singles and hopefully be able to make up his mind on who to send home at Noon on Day Three.

So, now, without further ado...

Immediately following the first Rose Ceremony, we find Daniel and Garrett having lobster in the dining room. They're obviously both happy to have made it through the first elimination and are doing a pretty good job of remaining civil to one another, considering that they're both competing for the same man - plus an all-expenses paid 7 day, 6 night luxury vacation in the beautiful Takemizu Village.

Meanwhile, upstairs in the Rose Ceremony room, William has taken the opportunity to chat with Alexander and hopefully make a good impression on him.

Let the group date commence! The lucky Sims who get to spend the evening in the hot tub with Alexander are Daniel, Colin, and Garrett.

You know, I said that the singles who got to be in the hot tub with Alexander were lucky, but, I'd say Dylan is pretty damn lucky right now, considering that while he's wearing swim trunks, Jeremy and William aren't...

So, I guess, it's a matter of opinion, really. Spend the evening in the hot tub with Alexander, which could mean a luxury vacation if you end up being the person he picks in the end, or spending the evening in a hot tub with two naked men. Tough choice.

Following 3 hours in the hot tub, Alexander has retreated up the stairs and into the tower room, where he can hopefully have a little privacy for the 1-on-1 dates. First up, is Colin.

Let's listen in as Alexander gets to know him better, shall we?

Alex: What's your favorite thing to do?

Colin: I love to read and learn new things.

Alex: That's cool.

Next up for a 1-on-1 date with Alexander is Garrett.

Alex: If you were stranded on a desert island, what is the one thing you wouldn't want to be without?

Garrett: I'd say a picture of my family, but, I think it would be too hard to look at it if I couldn't talk to them everyday, so, as bad as it probably sounds, I'd have to say a cell phone, because even if I couldn't see them ever again, I would still want to be able to keep in touch with them.

Alex: I don't think that sounds bad at all. Very admirable, in fact.

And next up we have Dylan.

Alex: If you could have any job in the world, what would it be and why?

Dylan: I'd like to be the Mayor of Seaside. I grew up in this town and I'd really like to do everything I can to make it flourish.

Alex: That's an admirable goal and one I hope you fulfill.

Next up to the tower room with Alexander is Daniel, who Alex must admit looks very good without a shirt on.

Alex: What do you want more than anything else in the world?

Daniel: Well, I've always wanted to find that special someone and then go on as many unforgettable dates as possible.

Alex: The sounds very nice.

The next single to meet up with Alexander in the tower is Jeremy.

Alex: What would you say is more important? Love? Or Money?

Jeremy: Well, they're both very important, but from my own experience, I'd have to say money is more important. When my parents got together, they were dirt poor, but they were convinced that as long as they had love, they could get through anything. Unfortunately, their lack of money caused lots of arguments which drove a wedge between them and they ended up getting a divorce when I was six.

Alex: I'm sorry to hear that and looking at it from your perspective, I can see your point.

Last, but certainly not least, William has joined Alexander in the tower.

Alex: What was your motivation for signing up to be on this show?

William: The same as yours, I imagine, hoping to find my true love. But, barring that, I figured it would give me the opportunity to meet some new and interesting people and hopefully make some new friends that I wouldn't have made otherwise.

Alex: Sounds like a good reason to me.

Having finished the 1-on-1 dates, Alexander has retreated to his bedroom to get a good night's sleep. He'll undoubtedly be thinking over the course of the night about who he'd like to get to know better and who will be going home at tomorrow's Rose Ceremony. So far, he thinks they're all nice guys and he doesn't really want to send anyone home, but, rules are rules, and he knows that whether he wants to or not, the Producer will not let him break the rules of the game.

Producer: Damn straight, I won't.

As Day Three dawns, Alexander joins the other six singles in the dining room for breakfast. Yeah, they're having lobster again, because for some strange reason lobster and salad are the only things that the Producer has had catered in via the buffet table and even with all the space that the Bachelor Mansion has, strangely enough it completely lacks a kitchen.

Producer: It had a kitchen... it was converted into the toilet and shower rooms off the dining room. Why? To make sure y'all had enough bathrooms, but, also to insure none of you burned the place down!

Noon. Which means it's time for the second Rose Ceremony. The group of six singles vying for Alexander's attention will soon be reduced to five.

The first Sim who will be staying in the mansion for another night is...

Alexander: Daniel, I'd be honored if you'd accept this rose...

Daniel: And I'd be honored to accept it.

Relationship Stats (Daily/Lifetime):

Alexander to Daniel: 100/18
Daniel to Alexander: 100/30

The next Sim safe from eviction for another day is...

Alexander: Garrett, would you accept this rose?

Garrett: I'd love to.

Relationship Stats (Daily/Lifetime):

Alexander to Garrett: 55/29
Garrett to Alexander: 33/25

Next to stay is...

Alexander: Jeremy, I'd like to get to know you better... will you accept this rose?

Jeremy: I'd like to get to know you better, too, Alex, so yes, I will.

Relationship Stats (Daily/Lifetime):

Alexander to Jeremy: 61/19
Jeremy to Alexander: 43/18

The next single who will be staying in the mansion is...

Alexander: William, I've enjoyed getting to know you and I'd like to spend some more time with you... will you accept this rose?

William: Of course, Alex - I've enjoyed getting to know you, too.

Relationship Stats (Daily/Lifetime):

Alexander to William: 49/23
William to Alexander: 77/25

And that brings us to the final two singles. Only one rose remains, which means one of the singles is about to go home. Will it be Dylan Lawson or Colin Evans?

Alexander: Before I make my decision, I just want you both to know that I've enjoyed getting to know both of you and I hope that whichever one of you is about to leave, we can remain good friends in the future.

The single who will be staying in the mansion is...

Alexander: Colin, I'd like for you to accept the final rose.

Colin: I'd be happy to, Alexander.

Relationship Stats (Daily/Lifetime):

Alexander to Colin: 49/18
Colin to Alexander: 71/22

Sadly, with the last rose going to Colin, that means...

That means Dylan Lawson will have to pack his bags and leave the mansion today. He is sad that he couldn't stay longer, but he knew coming into this game that there was a chance that he'd get sent home - he's just glad that he's made it as far as he has.

Relationship Stats (Daily/Lifetime):

Alexander to Dylan: 33/15
Dylan to Alexander: 55/24

And as Dylan, still wearing his tuxedo, leaves the Bachelor Mansion, this episode of The Bachelor: Seaside comes to an end. In the next episode, there will be more group dates in the hot tub and each single will also get a 1-on-1 date with Alexander over the chessboard, followed as usual, by another Rose Ceremony where one more single Sim will have to say goodbye to the Bachelor Mansion. Who will it be? Tune in next time to find out.

Producer: The Producer of The Bachelor: Seaside would just like to remind our loyal viewers that the choices that Alexander is making to determine who goes home involves a complicated process of compatibility tests, personality tests, Rorschach inkblot tests, and... well, actually, who am I kidding? In truth, it just involves simple arithmetic - adding together Alexander's Daily and Lifetime relationship scores with each single Sim and then whoever has the lowest score goes home. In the event of a tie, whichever single Sim has a higher combined Daily/Lifetime relationship score with Alexander stays.

Colin and Daniel are still faves of mine, but Garret has one me over!

How are you getting the sad faces? Do you have a posing hack?

*holds up huge "Pick Colin" sign*
I really enjoy your blogs, perhaps too much. Have major love for the somewhat nerdy sims, even though Jeremy is a close second. Go Colin!
